May 21 ShanghaiMay 20 Take out & a mangoHad a really bad day at the office today so I decided to treat myself to some mee goreng & rojak.
Actually, the indian food wasn't really the treat...but, getting to eat another one of Jie Hong's king mangos was. As you can see, I am getting a little better at cutting them.
So much mango. First time ever failed to finish fresh mango sitting in front of me. May 18 Tidbits from the Singapore Constitution(Part 2a & 2b) are the most important)

May 14 Weds Night DinnerI don't usually cook mid-week but tonight was an exception. I decided to make 宫保雞 tonight with extra pepers. Take a look.. this is how I get the real good 麻辣 taste:
The little 川椒 are the best... this is the secret ingredient.
Desert: Jie Hong gave me the biggest mango I have ever seen. I put my beer can next to it to give you an idea as to how big it actually is. Just amazing!
May 13 My first carA friend of mine in Singapore just got her license today...but the powers that be here have decided for her that she is not allowed to buy a car. It got me thinking of my first car and how much fun I had driving around. The first car that was ever really mine was a 1990 Toyota Camry. When I finally sold it many years ago, I got $600 bucks for it. Aside from all the rust and the fact that the rear passenger side door coulnt not open...it still ran well. I miss this car so much. Another Weekend in KLWe stayed at Hotel Maya (thanks Vicky for showing me this place). It is a pretty neat hotel. Very posh. This is what our room looked like Lunch at Madam Kwan's Again: Islamic Art Museum-I've been here several times... They don't allow pictures inside, so every thing you see it out around the grounds. We were pretty thirsty after all the exhibits. This is a typical scene in Malaysia... Had some lime juice and a chicken dog. Quick walk over to Merdeka Square Dinner: Seafood on the street with Lillian & her friend Kris. Sting ray, clams, chicken.... After dinner, we headed back to the hotel for a drink in what they call the Sky Lounge. They have a really nice view!
May 09 Strange AsiaMay 04 FruitOne of the more interesting aspects of life in South East Asia happens to be the fruit. Of all the places I have been... SE Asia has the best selection and over all, pretty cheap. I picked all this up in Malaysia today (except the Apples... those were flown in from somewhere else). I really need some help cutting these mangos. Anyone care to show me?
